On December 5th the design team, NDOT, and UNLV conducted a workshop to describe the opportunities located along the US 93, East US 6, and East US 50 Corridor. During the work session they organized the highway into landscape design segments and developed themes for each segment.
The Design Synthesis Report summarizes the design decisions made at the work session. The report consolidates the data that has been gathered and analyzed. The analysis identifies specific locations for aesthetic opportunities and identifies the design direction for highway facilities. Themes, levels of treatment, design objectives, and material palettes are provided for each landscape design segment. This analysis does not, in and of itself, create the landscape and aesthetics corridor plan. Rather, it establishes the framework for future recommendations.
